CASE STUDIES - HM Revenue & Customs

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is one of the largest central government departments with offices across the UK and a presence at every major port and airport. Dealing with over 40 million customers, its activities range from collecting central government revenues to paying tax credits and protecting the UK’s borders from drugs and other prohibited goods.

In July 2006, Ed was appointed as Corporate Responsibility Advisor on a 2-day per week consultancy contract. He continued to work with HMRC in this capacity until May 2008.

Ed has delivered an impressive range of outputs. His qualities have been greatly valued: in particular, his integrity, his sound judgement and his ability for big picture thinking. He is a skilled facilitator and a natural communicator which he combines with a compelling influencing style. He has used all these skills to great effect at the highest levels of HMRC.
